one of our most favourite things is hosting retreats with all you lovely folks! We have been lucky enough to take groups to Blue Mountain, Ontario, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica. Some of our retreats are focused on healing, some on community, and others just good old fashioned fun and adventure. We’re heading back to Nicaragua, baby! Join us November 1-8 this year under the light of the full moon while we Unleash the Feminine! Jodi will be your guide for this week long adventure of sun, surf, and sacred sisterhood at Coco Loco Eco Resort. Look forward to movement designed for all levels, workshops to explore your deep feminine energy, lots of fun activities, and downtime for some major R&R. Did we mention it’s also turtle season? Yep, there’s a good chance we will get to see both mama and baby turtles!

Our home for the week, Coco Loco Eco Resort, is located on the Northwest Coast of Nicaragua near Chinandega, 4 hrs from Managua. The backdrop is the beautiful Pacific Ocean with some of the best surf in the country and the most beautiful sunsets. Picture open-air family-style dining, a lovely pool, loungers, hammocks, an open air yoga studio, lush grounds, and four delicious meals daily.
There are two types of accommodation available: cute cabanas with private open air showers, compost toilets, private porch, hammock and comfy beds or beach house rooms with A/C and normal-style bathrooms. I highly recommend the cabanas, and there is a nice breeze at night to cool you down.
Movement Classes
Gentle Morning: This class is designed to gently open up and awake the mind and body for the day. We will go through range of motion, stretches, and gentle yoga postures.
Restorative: This evening practice is designed to lull you off to sleep, using bolsters, blocks, and straps, your body and nervous system will settle for a good night’s sleep.
Ecstatic Dance: This practice is all about releasing your inhibitions and moving in whatever way feels good to you!
Sensual: Explore the depths of your feminine energy and power as you shake, shimmy, and wind yourself to freedom!
Workshops
Find Your Flair: Using our own soon-to-be patented self awareness analysis and group work, we will delve into your strengths, challenges, innate talents, passions, and goals to find your truest and most aligned path.
Unleash the Beast: Exploring the Primal Feminine Warrior, this workshop will delve deep into blocks around Sacred Rage, boundaries, shame, guilt, and inner pain. Held in Sacred Circle, you will be encouraged to delve deep into your own blocks and find the courage to express your deepest self and embrace your full power. We will do this through a combination of meditation, journal work, movement, and discussion in safe space.
Full Moon Fire Ceremony: Under the light of the Full Moon at the ocean’s edge, we will use the power of Fire to cleanse and manifest our fullest potential.
Fun Activities
There’s lots of fun to be had at Coco Loco. Plus it’s TURTLE SEASON! Look forward to mama and baby turtles while we’re there. Here’s just a few of the things we have planned:
Swimming - there’s a swimming pool on the grounds, or the ocean almost right at our doorstep.
Surf - a surf lesson is included in your Retreat Package, but you’re welcome to take extra lessons and rent a board for the week at an additional fee
Chocolate Making Workshop - from bean to bar, we will make our own chocolate treats!
Waves of Hope Tour - we will explore the local Village and learn about the Waves of Hope non profit initiatives
Salsa Night - going off resort to the local watering hole, Pasta La Vista, we will meet travellers from around the world and dance the night away!
